We are a small business that manages multiple vendor and professional relationships and performing business functions that pulled them away from what they do best. The owner is looking to bring on a junior partner who would like to take over his book of business and take over the firm over the next few years.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the preparation and review of federal and state income tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts.
2. Develop and implement strategic tax planning for clients, including high net worth individuals and businesses.
3. Ensure accurate, timely filing of consolidated federal, state, and local income tax returns and other business-related filings.
4. Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures.
5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service and managing the client relationship to ensure satisfaction.
6. Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team, and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.
7. Provide leadership and support to junior staff.
8. Conduct complex tax research and prepare documentation for tax positions taken in response to IRS audits.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Advanced degree in Taxation or CPA certification is highly preferred.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax management, preferably within the finance industry.
3. Extensive individual/business tax knowledge and experience with tax planning, compliance, and preparation.
4. Proficient in tax software and technology platforms.
5. Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.
6. Knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations.
7. Familiarity with U.S. federal, state, and local reporting requirements.
8. Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
9. Analytical skills with detail orientation.
