Are you an experienced tax professional with a strong background in hedge fund taxation and a passion for providing exceptional client service? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Firm’s hedge fund tax practice. In this role, you'll work with hedge fund clients, providing invaluable expertise on complex tax compliance and structuring issues. Tax Strategy & Compliance:
- Oversee hedge fund tax compliance engagements, addressing risk, operational, and technical tax issues.
- Conduct research on tax legislation and explain its impact to asset management clients.
- Provide strategic advice on partnership allocations, private equity carry waterfalls, and distribution waterfall structures.
- Develop and review partnership tax returns, including Schedules K-1 and K-3.
- Review and advise on international tax concepts such as PFICs, CFCs, and various tax reporting forms (1065, 1042, 1120F, 5471, etc.).
- Compute taxable income and partnership allocations for private funds, including wash sales, straddles, carried interest, and incentive allocations.
Client Experience:
- Manage client expectations by ensuring the timely completion of deliverables and quality of service.
- Coordinate multiple engagement teams’ schedules and deadlines to ensure client objectives are met efficiently.
- Handle billing and WIP management with accuracy.
- Act as a key point of contact for clients, maintaining strong and productive relationships.
Team Leadership:
- Mentor and develop junior tax staff, reviewing their work and providing guidance on complex tax issues.
- Respect and celebrate the value of each of the stories, backgrounds, perspectives, and ideas of each of our team members, building meaningful relationships with all those you interact with.
- Be growth oriented and work towards building a leveraged model, when appropriate.
- Provide motivation to the team, including developing young leaders via active contribution to training and development.

- Exhibit forward thinking, innovation, and delivering an exceptional work product.
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- CPA or JD required
- 5+ years of progressive experience in public accounting.
- Proven leadership experience with a consistent record of accomplishment, accountability, and history of execution against budget and strategic initiatives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues in a clear and client-friendly manner.
- Initiative to learn, ask questions, operate in a fast-paced environment, challenge the status quo, develop strong relationships internally, and be flexible are required and keys to success.
- Understanding of Outlook, Excel, Word, Adobe, and familiarity with tax software required.

Estimated Salary Range: $85,000 - $210,000*
*Salaries offered to candidates are determined based on factors such as candidate's relevant skillset, experience, licensure, and certifications, as well as job responsibilities, geography, market considerations, and organizational needs.
