About the Job
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join our client's dynamic and growing team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review and prepare federal and multi-state tax returns, including those for businesses, partnerships, individuals, not-for-profits, and trusts.
- Oversee annual tax provisions and develop tax planning calculations for estimates and extensions.
- Research complex tax issues, summarize findings, and present actionable resolutions.
- Stay updated on and communicate changes in legislative and regulatory tax law developments.
- Supervise, train, and mentor a team of interns, associates, and junior staff.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and expert service.
- Respond to client inquiries and liaise with taxing authorities when necessary.
- Manage and oversee additional accounting and tax-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on tax services.
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and the ability to navigate complex tax regulations confidently.
- Proven experience with reviewing and preparing tax returns for mid-sized companies (LLCs, S-Corps) and high-net-worth individuals/trusts.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and effectively.
- Proficiency with relevant software programs, such as:
- QuickBooks (Desktop and Online)
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word)
- CCH ProSystem FX or Axcess Tax
- CaseWare
- QuickBooks (Desktop and Online)
Preferred Skills:
- Hands-on experience with tax return preparation and review (approximately 70% of the role).
- Leadership experience, including managing and coaching teams.
- Familiarity with recent changes in tax laws and their practical applications.
- Up-to-date knowledge of GAAP and GAAS standards.
Additional Details:
- Location: Onsite, 5 days per week.
- Travel/Relocation: Limited relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.
