Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 per year

We are seeking a dynamic Tax Manager for one of our local clients. This is a pivotal role where you will be responsible for managing and facilitating the accurate preparation and filing of our company’s state and federal tax forms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business tax strategies and tax law, with a keen attention to detail. Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage multiple tax engagements to deliver quality tax services for our clients. This includes the preparation and review of tax returns, as well as managing consultants and junior staff.
2. Provide innovative tax planning strategies and compliance expertise to clients; perform research and prepare/review complex tax planning and compliance.
3. Advise clients on a full spectrum of corporate tax services including planning, research, and other mergers and acquisitions activities.
4. Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team helping to provide industry knowledge and experience.
5. Manage risk and financial performance of engagements including billing, collections, and project budgets.
6. Team with other professionals to identify new marketplace opportunities and grow the company's tax practice.
7. Develop and mentor staff, providing leadership, counseling, career guidance, and guidance on technical issues.
Job Details
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. Advanced degree in taxation or law is highly desirable.
2. Active CPA license is required.
3. A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in public accounting or corporate/public blend.
4. Proficiency in corporate, individual, and partnership taxation.
5. Experience with CCH Axcess would be a plus.
6. Excellent research and writing skills.
7. Excellent presentation and communication skills.
8. Strong management and organizational skills.
9. Ability to manage and grow strong client relationships.
10. Experience with tax technology and data analytics tools is a plus.
