Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in tax accounting, tax reporting, compliance, and the review of intricate tax returns.
- CPA credential (active or in the process of obtaining)
- Master's degree in Taxation is a big plus.
- Profound understanding of tax codes, tax laws, and tax regulations, with the capability to research complex tax matters.
- Demonstrated ability to provide expert guidance on tax-related matters to colleagues.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude, along with a keen eye for detail, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Familiarity with CCH Pro System FX tax software is advantageous, as is proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of tax reporting and compliance for the organization.
- Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure alignment with tax regulations.
- Maintain and update tax information to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Provide expert guidance and support to various departments within the company on tax-related issues.
- Lead and manage all tax compliance activities, including accounting for income and other taxes.
- Ensure the precision and correctness of all tax returns and financial reports.
- Stay updated on tax codes, tax laws, and tax regulations, and conduct research on complex tax issues.
- Review complex tax returns and ensure their accuracy.
- Foster a culture of tax compliance and awareness throughout the organization.
- Leverage strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address tax challenges.
- Work both independently and collaboratively within a team to achieve tax-related objectives.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
- Utilize tax software tools, including CCH Pro System FX, to streamline tax processes and reporting.
- Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite to support tax-related tasks and responsibilities.
