Salary: $95,000 - $150,000 per year

Our client, a growing CPA firm, is seeking a Tax Manager to join its growing team.

Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing and managing the delivery of a broad range of tax services to nonprofit clients, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and international tax laws and regulations.
2. Developing and implementing strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
3. Conducting research on tax laws and regulations to stay abreast of changes that could impact our clients and firm.
4. Collaborating with internal teams to identify and mitigate tax risks and ensure that effective tax strategies are in place.
5. Providing innovative tax planning and reviewing complex income tax returns.
6. Serving as the primary client contact for complex tax issues and establishing a strong relationship with clients to understand their unique needs and provide tailored solutions.
7. Training and mentoring junior staff members, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
Job Details
Qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification will be highly advantageous.
2. A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a tax role, with a focus on nonprofit tax. Experience in a public accounting or consulting firm is preferred.
3. In-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and codes, particularly those related to nonprofit organizations.
4. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax matters in a clear and concise manner to clients and team members.
5. Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
7. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
8. A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate client needs and propose effective solutions.
