Job Details
We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, and certified Tax Manager to join our dynamic and growing team. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to play a high-impact role within our Finance department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of tax compliance, providing tax advice, conducting tax research, and performing federal tax accounting. This role is ideal for a professional who is driven, organized, detail-oriented, and has a knack for finding innovative solutions to complex tax issues.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple tax engagements to deliver quality tax services for our clients.
- Provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients.
- Conduct tax research and planning, identify and mitigate tax risks.
- Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns and ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws.
- Manage a team of tax professionals and supervise their work.
- Coordinate with accounting staff to gather and analyze financial data.
- Provide internal tax advice and guidance.
- Maintain and update working knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including new filing practices, deadlines, and any company-specific information.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial and tax audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required. A Masters Degree in Accounting is preferred.
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting or a similar role.
- Proficient in tax analysis, tax research, and tax compliance.
- Strong knowledge of federal tax accounting and compliance.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing a team.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work under pressure.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
