Responsibilities:
- Tax Preparation and Review: Prepare and review tax returns, financial statements, and other documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with current regulations and laws.
- Client Liaison: Act as a liaison between clients and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to answer questions and resolve potential discrepancies.
- Tax Strategy Implementation: Implement and monitor tax strategies to minimize taxes and maximize returns for clients.
- Regulation Compliance: Keep abreast of changes in tax regulations to ensure compliance and maximize client savings.
- Complex Tax Returns: Assist with the preparation of complex business tax returns, identify potential tax savings opportunities, and counsel clients on taxation matters.
- Client Management: Handle installations of new clients and manage back work for new clients, ensuring smooth onboarding and continuity of service.
Job Details
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in tax preparation and bookkeeping.
- Certifications: CPA license or EA certification is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Independence: Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
