Position Overview:
Fast Retailing US is looking for a Tax Manager to work in partnership with the VP of Tax. The US business has continued to increase in size and complexity. There is a need to ensure that our Tax Department is compliant in all areas and to better organize the department to meet the current and future needs of our company. The Tax Manager will improve our communication and availability to all internal and external partners as we ensure that we are optimizing the efficiency of our work and corporate responsibilities. We will continue to support our Canada business to ensure their compliance as they grow in size and complexity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project manage all existing and future initiatives and communicate to management effectively.
- Work with the VP of Tax to Plan, manage and develop all aspects of the company’s tax process.
- Ensure all local, state, and federal taxes are filed timely.
- Implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures.
- Liaison between Tax department, management, outside consultants, GHQ and Government agencies.
- Assist in the preparation & review of all the company’s federal, state and local tax returns.
- Review and respond to Tax Notices from Jurisdictions on a timely basis.
- Preparation and/or review of annual tax provision calculations
- Assist in all Federal and State tax audits, notices and inquiries.
- Maintain and update the company tax calendar.
Qualifications:
- Strong oral, written, analytical and organizational skills.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems software preferably SAP.
- Ability to build solid, effective working relationships with others.
- Possesses strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Organized and efficient approach to record-keeping.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented.
- Excellent communication skills - both written and oral.
