We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Permanent Tax Manager to join our dynamic finance team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal part in our organization's financial planning and tax strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing tax compliance, tax planning, and tax controversy matters. They will also oversee and manage the preparation of tax returns for individuals and corporations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the latest tax laws and regulations. This role requires a strong ability to multitask, excellent communication skills, and a client-facing approach.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and reporting for our organization.
2. Prepare and review individual and corporate tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the latest tax laws and regulations.
3. Provide strategic tax planning advice and guidance to senior management.
4. Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision support.
5. Develop and maintain relationships with external tax advisors and authorities.
6. Assist in the development and implementation of effective tax strategies to support business objectives.
7. Review and analyze complex financial data to provide accurate and timely tax-related financial information to senior management.
8. Manage and mitigate tax risks and liabilities.
9. Provide excellent client-facing service to both internal and external stakeholders.
10. Stay updated on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax management role, preferably within the finance industry.
3. Proven experience in preparing and reviewing individual and corporate tax returns.
4. Strong knowledge of tax code, compliance and procedures for corporations.
5. Familiarity with financial accounting statements.
6. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex tax information to non-tax professionals.
8. Proficient in tax software and databases, as well as MS Office.
9. Strong client-facing skills with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
10. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
11. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a high level of initiative and problem-solving skills.
