We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Tax Manager to join our client. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual with a strong background in tax accounting, tax returns, corporate tax, tax planning, tax compliance, and tax advisory. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and facilitating the accurate preparation and filing of our company's state and federal tax forms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a focus on tax planning and compliance.

1. Manage and oversee the entire tax process for the organization, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
2. Prepare and review corporate federal and state income tax returns, estimated tax payments, and various other tax returns.
3. Develop effective tax strategies that maintain compliance while optimizing tax implications for the organization.
4. Conduct complex tax research and prepare documentation for tax positions taken by the company.
5. Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations, and ensure the company is informed of any changes that may impact financial operations.
7. Provide leadership, guidance, and training to junior tax staff, fostering an environment that encourages employee growth and retention.
8. Assist in financial planning and analysis, identifying potential tax savings and efficiency opportunities.
9. Serve as a key contact for tax-related queries, providing insightful, proactive, and timely responses.
Job Details
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree in Taxation or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is highly preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in tax accounting or a related field, preferably in the finance industry.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of tax compliance, tax planning, tax advisory services, and related legal regulations.
4. Proven experience with tax returns, corporate tax, and tax accounting.
5. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret tax laws and regulations, and apply them to organizational tax situations.
6. Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing a team.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax information to non-financial staff.
8. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
9. Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
