A bit about us:
This growing and highly prestigious organization is seeking a Tax Manager to support their Income Tax division. This position is responsible for supporting the Director of Tax Accounting to ensure the proper accounting, reporting, and disclosure of income taxes in the Company’s SEC filings. They will provide support and oversight to US and regional reporting teams.
The focus of this position will be on managing global provision impacts related to rapidly evolving global taxation schemes in the US and abroad (including the taxation of foreign income, cross border transactions, acquisitions, global minimum taxes, etc.) as well as the global portfolio of tax reserves.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of Income Tax Accounting standards and meaningful provision experience with multiple global taxing jurisdictions as well as an eagerness to apply that tax knowledge in a complex, dynamic business environment.
The ideal Accounting Manager, Income Tax will have blended experience in public accounting and corporate income tax experience. The Tax Manager must also have experience with international tax and is looking to grow in their career and continue to be challenged. Responsibilities:
As the Accounting Manager, Income Taxes, you will be responsible for:
1. Managing the preparation and review of the quarterly and annual income tax provisions.
2. Overseeing the preparation and review of U.S. federal, state, and international income tax returns.
3. Managing the company’s tax strategy and planning initiatives to minimize tax liabilities and risks.
4. Assisting with income tax audits and inquiries by various taxation authorities.
5. Ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
6. Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of current tax practices and changes in tax law.
7. Collaborating with other departments to provide tax advice and guidance on business transactions.
8. Using ONESOURCE software for tax provision and compliance tasks.
9. Creating and implementing tax policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Accounting Manager, Income Taxes position will have the following qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience, with a focus on income tax.
3. Experience in tax provision, income tax, and international tax is required.
4. Proficiency in using ONESOURCE tax software.
5. Strong knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and international tax laws and regulations.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
9. Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
10. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
