Job Details:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Tax Manager/Supervisor to join our family office team in the Accounting + Finance industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional looking to make a significant impact in a small environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, providing tax planning and consulting services, and maintaining relationships with clients. This role requires a strong understanding and practical application of tax laws and regulations. The candidate must have experience with Wolters Kluwer, ProFX, Pro FX, Axcess, CCH, or equivalent.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
2. Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients.
3. Research and interpret tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
4. Maintain and build client relationships through excellent customer service and communication.
5. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and procedures.
6. Stay updated on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
7. Identify tax planning opportunities and provide recommendations to clients.
8. Train and mentor junior staff members.
9. Manage multiple assignments and projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.
10. Participate in business development initiatives to expand the company's client base.
Qualifications:
1. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax.
3. Extensive experience with tax preparation and review for various types of entities.
4. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
5. Proficiency in tax software such as Wolters Kluwer, ProFX, Pro FX, Axcess, CCH, or equivalent.
6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
7. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
11. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
12. A high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
