We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tax Manager to join our Accounting and Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a significant impact within a growing company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the preparation and review of corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns for our high-net-worth clients. This position requires a strong understanding of tax planning, income tax, and LLC tax, as well as the ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee all aspects of tax accounting, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations.
2. Prepare and review complex tax returns for corporations, partnerships, and high-net-worth individuals.
3. Provide tax planning services and recommendations to clients to optimize tax strategies and savings.
4. Lead client meetings to review tax returns, discuss tax planning strategies, and address any tax-related issues or concerns.
5. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing excellent customer service and identifying opportunities to expand business.
6. Stay updated on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
7. Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes, improve client services, and achieve company goals.
8. Mentor and train junior staff members, fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.
9. Manage tax research projects and special client assignments as needed.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree in Taxation or a related field is preferred.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on corporate, partnership, and high-net-worth individual tax returns.
4. Proven experience with tax planning, income tax, and LLC tax.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret tax laws and regulations.
6. Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing staff.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members.
8. Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
9. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
10. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
