Are you a tax professional with a knack for strategic planning and a passion for numbers? We are currently seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Tax Manager to join our high-performing finance team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and innovative environment. As a tax manager, you will be responsible for managing and facilitating the accurate preparation and filing of our customers state and federal tax forms. The successful candidate will be heavily involved in tax planning, compliance, preparation, and advisory services, providing invaluable support to our finance department and business operations.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the preparation and filing of all federal and state tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
Conduct thorough, complex tax analyses to aid in strategic decision-making and planning.
Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize profits.
Provide expert tax advice to senior management and other departments, helping to drive business success.
Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team, and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.
Review tax returns and quarterly/yearly tax projections.
Manage and facilitate IRS income tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.
Maintain and update the company’s tax database and prepare necessary tax reports.
Train and mentor junior staff members, fostering a supportive and high-performing work environment.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation and/or Enrolled Agent designation is highly desirable.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax manager or public accountant role.
Proven experience with tax planning, tax compliance, tax preparation, and tax returns.
Proficient in tax software and databases, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, with great precision.
Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
