That growth has led us to expand to different markets and we are in need of a Tax Manager to be at the center of our business needs in the Long Beach, Fresno, Reedley CA and Las Vegas office. What you will do: The Core Tax Services Manager is responsible for advising clients on the tax implications of their business objectives, evaluating, and selecting alternative actions to lessen tax burden and cost of compliance, identifying different methods of complying with tax regulations while acting as the primary client contact for complex tax issues. In this role, Core Tax Services Manager is charged with applying knowledge to understand potential tax issues and recognizing and communicating potential risks and potential changes in the tax policy. In addition, the Core Tax Services Manager will be involved in the marketing, networking, and business development within an area of expertise and specialization and may be asked to provide written tax advice to clients.
What you bring to the role:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other relevant field required.
• Master’s in accountancy or other relevant field preferred.
• Five (5) or more years of prior relevant tax experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting or consulting/professional services experience required
• Industry expertise in one or more tax specialty preferred
• Prior supervisory experience required
License/Certifications:
• CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction), or Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (“EA”) (or the equivalent of one of these designations) required
• Possession of other professional degrees or certifications applicable to role beneficial
Software:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; specifically, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.
Experience with Adobe Acrobat preferred.
Experience with tax research databases and tax compliance process software preferred

• Capable of effectively developing and maintaining client relationships
• Executive presence and ability to act as primary client contact for preparation and presentation of issues and resolutions to clients
