Tax Manager

Base Salary: 120k to 170k + Benefits/bonus

Location: Farmington Hills, MI

Responsibilities

:

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120S, 1120, 990, 1041).

• Mentor and train junior staff members.

• Collaborate on client engagements, ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws.

• Develop tax strategies to minimize clients’ tax liabilities.

• Maintain strong client relationships and ensure the highest level of service.

• Stay current on tax regulations and implement changes as needed.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure proper tax and accounting treatments.

• Supervise the preparation of digital workpapers and tax return engagements using CCH Axcess.

• Ensure quality control standards and adherence to deadlines.

Qualifications

:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required; CPA certification preferred.

• Minimum of 4-6 years of recent experience in public accounting, specifically in tax preparation and review.

• Strong experience with tax software (CCH Axcess or CCH Prosystems preferred but not required).

• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple assignments.
