Are you a seasoned tax professional with a passion for the finance industry? Are you ready to take your career to the next level with a leading financial institution? If so, we are seeking a Permanent Tax Manager, Senior Manager, or Director to join our dynamic Hedge Funds team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide strategic tax planning and compliance expertise to our hedge fund clients, as well as manage and mentor a team of tax professionals.
Responsibilities:
As a key member of our tax team, you will:
- Lead and manage tax compliance, planning, and strategy for a portfolio of hedge fund clients.
- Oversee all aspects of the tax life cycle (planning, execution, and compliance).
- Review K-1, K-3, and other tax forms for accuracy and compliance.
- Handle complex tax issues related to 704 (c), 1031 exchanges, 704 (b), and 743 (b).
- Use CCH Axcess to manage tax workflow and ensure timely filing of tax returns.
- Provide tax advisory services and make recommendations on business and process improvements.
- Mentor, train, and supervise a team of tax professionals.
- Foster and maintain relationships with clients to provide exceptional client service.
- Stay updated on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on hedge funds.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
- Expertise in partnership tax forms including K-1, K-3, 704 (c), 1031 exchanges, 704 (b), and 743 (b).
- Proficiency in using CCH Axcess or similar tax software.
- Strong managerial, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
