Tax Manager CPA - Great Hire Staffing

Thriving tax firm in Carlsbad, California is seeking an energetic tax manager to join our firm and help manage the tax team in this office location. 

The Tax Manager is a hybrid role (3 days in, and 2 days remote,) and will serve as a mentor for staff with lesser experience, a decision maker, and a champion for our team, and for our clients. 

Tax preparation is handled by staff members. The day-to-day role of the Tax manager is to assist with quality control, provide coaching/mentoring, as well as client-facing duties such as escalated/important client issues, and client in-person and virtual contact as needed or requested. 

The ideal candidate will have a background in public accounting and hold an active CPA license, or EA designation

10+ years in public accounting field, with deep understanding of tax prep for individuals, as well as corporations, C-Corp/S-Corp etc

Some management experience. Looking for a mentor, not a task master

Hybrid work OK

No mandatory overtime during peak season

4 day work week during off-peak season
