Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate tax compliance and advisory services for our commercial clients.
- Review corporate and partnership tax returns at federal, multi-national, and multi-state levels.
- Manage client relationships for daily tax issues, supporting partners in service delivery and the expansion of services.
- Conduct research and provide consultation on technical tax matters and special projects.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships while identifying business development opportunities.
- Lead client projects, including planning and project management, ensuring successful completion of tax planning, advisory, accounting, and compliance initiatives, all while delivering exceptional client service.
- Review client reports and deliverables to ensure top-notch quality, balancing firm risk and adherence to professional standards.
- Identify and communicate opportunities for internal business enhancements.
- Tackle strategic issues that require analytical skills and a deep understanding of tax regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to share knowledge and develop ideas and processes across different areas of the organization.
- Uphold the core values and standards of the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (MBA Preferred)
- CPA designation is strongly preferred
- Experience in a supervisory role within public accounting.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Background in construction, collaborating with contractors, subcontractors, and home builders for Tax related matters.
- Knowledge of IRC Section 460 and principles of long-term contract accounting.
- Familiarity with tax depreciation regulations.
- Experience with multi-state tax issues and nexus/apportionment rules.
- Openness to researching new legislation and assisting the team in understanding its effects on construction clients.
- High level of expertise in Microsoft Office Excel.
