Job Details
Tax Compliance:
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of tax filings in accordance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to stay updated on changes that may impact clients.
Tax Planning and Consulting:
- Assist clients in developing tax-efficient strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize financial outcomes.
- Provide proactive tax planning advice tailored to the unique needs and objectives of clients.
- Identify opportunities for tax savings and recommend appropriate tax strategies.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing exceptional service and personalized tax solutions.
- Address client inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with other team members to deliver integrated solutions that meet client needs.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Mentor and supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment conducive to learning and growth.
- Assist in the recruitment and training of new team members as needed.
Compliance and Quality Control:
- Ensure compliance with firm policies, procedures, and professional standards.
- Conduct quality reviews of tax workpapers and documentation to maintain accuracy and consistency.
- Identify areas for process improvement and contribute to the implementation of best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in public accounting with a focus on tax services.
- Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., ProSystem FX Tax, CCH Axcess Tax) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
