Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Tax Manager to join our growing Public Accounting firm. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all tax-related activities within the organization. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of professionals in a fast-paced environment, where your expertise and skills will be highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise all tax-related activities, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Perform tax research and analysis, providing recommendations to senior management on tax-related matters.
- Prepare and review tax returns, including federal, state, and local tax returns.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external tax advisors and government agencies.
- Assist with tax planning and forecasting, providing guidance to senior management on tax implications of business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure tax compliance in all areas of the business.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, communicating updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Manage tax audits and inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate responses to government agencies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA certification required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting or corporate tax.
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including federal, state, and local tax laws.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
