We are seeking a dynamic Permanent Tax Manager to join our thriving finance team. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where new ideas are encouraged and collaboration is a must. The Tax Manager will be an integral part of the financial leadership team, responsible for managing all aspects of tax compliance, tax planning, and maintaining effective relationships with tax authorities. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong focus on driving operational excellence and process improvement.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage and oversee the preparation and review of federal, state and local tax returns, ensuring compliance with all tax regulations and laws.
2. Utilize Ultra Tax Software for the preparation and submission of tax returns.
3. Implement and manage firm flow processes to streamline tax operations and enhance efficiency.
4. Provide expert guidance on tax law and regulations, interpreting complex tax codes for the benefit of the company.
5. Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial accounting and reporting.
6. Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
7. Manage and facilitate IRS income tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.
8. Maintain and manage relationships with external tax consultants and regulatory authorities.
9. Conduct research on tax laws and regulations to ensure the company's compliance.
10. Provide internal teams with technical tax advice and planning strategies.
Qualifications:
1. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is required.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a tax managerial role in the finance industry.
3. Extensive knowledge of tax compliance, tax returns, financial accounting, and tax accounting.
4. Proficiency in using Ultra Tax Software.
5. Strong understanding of tax law and ability to interpret complex tax codes.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
7. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage relationships effectively.
8. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. Detail-oriented and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
11. Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
12. A strong commitment to professional and client service excellence.
