We are seeking a highly experienced and diligent Tax & Estate Planning Attorney to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is looking to apply their expertise in tax law and estate planning to a dynamic, fast-paced legal environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive tax and estate planning advice to our diverse clientele, which includes high-net-worth individuals, families, and businesses.
Responsibilities
As a Tax & Estate Planning Attorney, your duties will include:
1. Providing expert advice on complex tax issues, including gift tax, estate tax, income tax, and other related areas.
2. Developing and implementing comprehensive estate plans to meet clients' specific needs and objectives.
3. Drafting and reviewing legal documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning instruments.
4. Advising clients on potential tax implications of various business and personal transactions.
5. Representing clients in disputes with tax authorities, including audits, appeals, and litigation.
6. Keeping abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure our clients receive the most current and accurate advice.
7. Collaborating with other members of our legal team to provide comprehensive legal services to our clients.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following qualifications:
1. A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. A license to practice law in the state.
3. A minimum of 2 years of experience in tax law and estate planning, with a strong focus on gift tax issues.
4. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master of Laws (LLM) in Taxation.
5. Proven track record of successfully advising clients on complex tax and estate planning matters.
6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal and tax issues in a clear and understandable manner.
8. A high degree of professional ethics and integrity.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
