Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns for individuals, trusts, and estates, including forms 1040 and 1041.
2. Provide comprehensive tax planning strategies to clients, focusing on trust and estate planning.
3. Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
4. Maintain and update knowledge of current tax laws and regulations, ensuring the company and clients remain compliant.
5. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality tax advisory services.
6. Manage client relationships, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and retention.
7. Identify opportunities to minimize tax liabilities and maximize client wealth through strategic planning.
Qualifications:
1. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax role with a focus on trusts and estates.
3. In-depth knowledge of forms 1040 and 1041, individual taxes, trust, gift, and estate taxes.
4. Proven track record of managing and leading a team.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts to clients and team members.
6. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
7. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
8. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Experience in a client-facing role, with excellent customer service skills.
10. Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
