Tax Consultant.

Candidate MUST be onsite Tuesday and Thursdays in Bolingbrook

Reports into the Director, Indirect Taxation and works extensively with Tax Manager, SUT Compliance and members of compliance team

Must be a self starter and be able to execute against goals

Must be able to complete most work duties with little training

Must be able to communicate well end of day status on deliverables, urgency for issues, and scheduled time off

Must be able to be flexible in daily tasks and assignments assigned

Working knowledge of Excel (intermediate or advanced), Word & PowerPoint required

Formulas include vlookup, piviot tables, sumif, countif

An Excel assessment will be performed during the interview process with the interviewer

Working knowledge of Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx (a plus)

Retail industry a strong plus

Project lead or project management skills preferred

Professional work experience required

Sales and use tax compliance required e-filing, data preparation, return preparation and reconciliation, request approvals and payments

Use tax review for self-assessment required

Account reconciliation required

Professional work experience a plus

User acceptance testing for projects (a plus)

Tax research (a plus)

Licensing (a plus)

Bachelors degree with Accounting or Finance or other business major

Independently work with other team members in the organization
