We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Permanent Tax Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. This position will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and prosperity of our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, and tax preparations. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional who has a solid understanding of the tax firm operations and is looking to apply their skills in a growing and progressive company.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to, Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), and payroll in compliance with financial policies and procedures.
2. Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports or as needed.
3. Perform monthly, quarterly and annual tax preparations.
4. Ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
5. Maintain company ledger and daily financial transactions.
6. Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities.
7. Review and process expense reports.
8. Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process.
9. Implement and maintain financial data bases, computer software systems and manual filing systems.
10. Assist with other accounting projects as needed.
Qualifications:
1. 2+ years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper.
2. 4+ years of experience in tax preparation.
3. Proven experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and payroll.
4. Advanced proficiency in MS Office and popular computer software and databases.
5. Excellent mathematical skills and attention to detail.
6. Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.
7. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
8. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
11. Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
12. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field is preferred.
