Our client, an excellent and highly regarded California law firm, seeks a well-qualified candidate to join their Tax Practice. The successful candidate will play a key role in various business transactions, conducting due diligence, drafting contracts, and providing legal guidance throughout the transaction process. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a team with an energetic practice spanning the nation.

Requirements:

• Four (4) or more years of tax experience.
• Ideal candidate will have experience handling a broad variety of federal, state and local tax matters as well as with startup tax issues, including qualified small business stock.
• Knowledge of general corporate law and M&A transactions is beneficial.
• Tax LL.M. preferred.

This firm offers a highly collegial setting with reasonable billable hour requirements. Base salary is commensurate with experience and ranges from $210,000 and $300,000 for this position. While they offer the flexibility to work remotely (hybrid), the preference is for the person filing this position to be based in their San Francisco or Walnut Creek offices.
