Salary: $170,000 - $220,000 per year

We are a top tax law firm with 200 attorneys across multiple locations. We focus in specialty tax like; International Tax, M&A, Tax Controversy, SALT, Trust & Estate, etc. The ideal candidate will have their LL.M., JD, CPA, or Esq. and tax law experience in either public accounting or (most preferred) at a law firm.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This is a unique opportunity to work on a broad range of tax matters in a fast-paced, challenging environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for advising on complex tax issues, conducting legal research, writing legal documents, and providing tax planning services. This role requires a deep understanding of tax law, exceptional legal research and writing skills, and experience in business transactions. The candidate must be admitted in Texas and have a minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert advice on complex tax issues to clients.
2. Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on various tax-related matters.
3. Draft and review legal documents, including tax opinions, memoranda, and other correspondence.
4. Develop tax planning strategies for individual and corporate clients.
5. Represent clients in tax disputes and negotiations with tax authorities.
6. Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals to ensure the best representation for clients.
7. Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may affect clients.
8. Participate in business transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, ensuring all tax implications are considered and addressed.
Qualifications:
1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admitted to the Texas Bar.
3. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in tax law practice.
4. Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
5. Proven experience in legal research and writing.
6. Experience in tax planning and advising on business transactions.
7. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to represent clients' best interests.
9. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
11. High ethical standards and professional integrity.
12. Proficient in using legal research tools and software.
