We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Permanent Tax Associate to join our dynamic finance team. This position plays an integral role in the financial health and compliance of our company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and analyzing tax returns, providing tax advisory services, and ensuring our organization meets all its tax obligations. This role requires a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, excellent analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and review corporate tax returns ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws and regulations.
2. Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify tax liabilities and savings opportunities.
3. Provide tax advisory services to the management, offering strategic tax planning solutions and advice on tax implications of business decisions.
4. Coordinate and assist with tax audits, responding to inquiries from tax authorities in a timely and accurate manner.
5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current tax practices and changes in tax law.
6. Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and record keeping.
7. Conduct research on complex tax matters and provide recommendations to mitigate tax risks.
8. Support the implementation of tax-related projects and initiatives to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, financial analysis, and tax advisory.
3. Solid understanding of corporate tax, tax returns, and tax audits.
4. Proficient in tax software and other financial systems.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and tax laws.
6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex tax issues in a clear and concise manner.
7. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
8. High level of integrity, with a commitment to uphold the company's financial policies and procedures.
