The Opportunity
This position works out of our Abbott Park, IL (Lake County) location in Corporate Finance.
As the Tax Analyst you’ll have the chance to assist in the preparation, review, and filing of the federal and state & local income tax returns, including preparing tax packages and identifying transactions that have tax ramifications. This individual will collaborate with international and state tax analysts to incorporate appropriate reporting requirements.
What You’ll Work On
- Maintain tax information and records.
- Calculate estimated payments and extension filings.
- Prepare tax returns, tax declarations, and other required reports so that they are submitted accurately and on time.
- Analyze and interpret tax laws and regulations and prepare technical reports on how they impact the organization’s operations.
- Prepare correspondence with external tax agencies and consultants (for example, auditors).
- Must have the ability to research complex tax issues and be proficient in interpreting and applying the tax law, regulations, and cases to specific transactions and factual situations.
- Assist in the preparation of the tax provision, analysis of tax accounts and reserves, and tax shelter disclosure and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. This includes a working knowledge of FAS 109 tax accounting and other necessary FASB pronouncements, as well as internal control issues.
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of related experience
- B.A./B.S. in Accounting/Finance required. CPA and/or MST a plus, but not required
Preferred Qualifications
- Public Accounting or Fortune 500 corporate tax experience preferred

The base pay for this position is $57,300.00 – $114,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
