That growth has led us to expand to different markets and we are in need of a highly skilled and experienced Tax Services Paraprofessional Manager to lead our team of tax paraprofessionals located in Fresno, Reedley, Long Beach and Las Vegas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax administration preparation and compliance, excellent leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients. This role involves managing the daily operations of the tax paraprofessional team, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in tax-related tasks, and supporting the overall objectives of the tax services department. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a passion for tax compliance and regulations.

What you will do: The Tax Paraprofessional Manager is responsible:
- Oversee the accurate and timely filing of federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and non-profit organizations.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of tax paraprofessionals.
- Assign and review work, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of tax documents.
- Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations and ensure team compliance.
- Serve as a point of contact for client inquiries and concerns.
- Maintain strong client relationships through excellent communication and service.
- Assist in resolving complex tax issues in collaboration with senior tax professionals.
- Identify opportunities to streamline tax preparation processes.
- Implement best practices and standard operating procedures.
- Utilize tax software and other tools effectively to enhance productivity.
- Develop and deliver training programs for tax paraprofessionals.
- Stay informed on industry trends and updates, sharing knowledge with the team.
- Encourage continuous professional development and learning.
- Supervise the tax assembly, processes and send or release tax returns to clients
- Organize and maintain tax records, including electronic and paper files.
- Gather and compile financial data from clients and internal sources.
- Communicate with clients to obtain necessary information and clarify details as needed.
- Support tax professionals in ad hoc projects.
- Perform data entry and ensure the accuracy of financial information.
- Handle administrative tasks related to tax filings, such as e-filing, printing, and mailing documents.
- Maintain confidentiality of all client information.
- Support full cycle client onboarding and Statement of Work and Service Agreement for all clients.
- Perform other administrative support tasks as required, including clerical tasks, photocopying, faxing, filing, and collating.
What you bring to the role:
- High school diploma or equivalent; required
- Associate degree or college degree, preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation and compliance.
- 3 or more years leading, supervising tax team members
Software:
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel, and Outlook is a plus.
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within a tax services environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Maintains strict confidentiality.
- Possesses superior customer service skills, Comfortable communicating with clients and tax jurisdictions
Compensation Information: Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.
