Job Details
As a Tax Manager, you'll play a key role in overseeing tax engagements, managing client relationships, and mentoring junior staff. You'll have the autonomy to develop innovative tax strategies, stay updated on tax laws and regulations, and contribute to the firm's growth and success.
Responsibilities:
- Take security seriously to protect all parties
- Work efficiently with cloud-based systems
- Assist with processing client financial information
- Participate in onboarding clients
- Easily spot errors in P&L statements and correct them
- Manage bookkeeping staff and review work
- Prepare monthly financial statements, sales tax and payroll tax filings
- Prepare tax filings for all entity types
- Assist with ongoing tax planning
- Assist with Manager directed client projects
You should have most of the following:
- Several years of experience in a CPA firm
- A licensed CPA or EA designation. Or eligible candidates actively seeking either designation. (We love your ambition!)
- Experience with tax return preparation for Individuals, S-corp, and Partnerships
- QuickBooks
- Lacerte Tax Software
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Reconciliations
- Data entry
- Debits and credits
- Types of business entities
- Individual income, small business, and payroll tax laws
- Working in a paperless office
