Kelly Services is looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Tax Associate. The Tax Associate will be assist with tax returns and compliance with local and national regulations. This person will also maintain thorough tax records for the organization, compiling reports on expenditures, payroll, and revenue.

Description
Kelly Services is looking for a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Tax Associate. The Tax Associate will be assist with tax returns and compliance with local and national regulations. This person will also maintain thorough tax records for the organization, compiling reports on expenditures, payroll, and revenue.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for renewing city business licenses throughout the US for the client
- Research prior payments, potentially contacting cities to get the renewal form, completing the renewal form, making payment, filing licenses as received.
- Ensure compliance with all local and national laws by accurately determining the tax amounts due and preparing and filing annual returns
- Meet strict deadlines to avoid late fees and penalties
- Create additional documentation when necessary, including tax forecasting reports for internal review
- Maintain accurate database of tax records, and manage electronic bookkeeping software
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Minimum of Associate Degree in Accounting, finance, or related field
- 1 year of experience preferred in general office environment
- Exemplary accounting and bookkeeping skills
- Knowledge of applicable tax codes, laws, and regulations
- Experience in tracking and analyzing data using accounting software such as Microsoft Excel
- Professional certification such as CPA
