We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated Tax Accountant to join our Finance team. This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a leading financial services company that serves high-net worth individuals. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and facilitating the accurate preparation and filing of our clients' tax forms. The position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of tax codes and regulations.
Responsibilities:
1. Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns for high-net worth individuals including federal and multi-state tax returns.
2. Conducting research on complex tax issues and new legislation to ensure compliance and identify planning opportunities.
3. Collaborating with internal teams to understand and address client needs, providing expert tax advice to help them navigate their financial landscape.
4. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring their satisfaction.
5. Identifying and mitigating tax risks and liabilities.
6. Keeping up-to-date with industry developments and changes in tax laws.
7. Providing support during tax audits and negotiations with tax authorities.
8. Assisting with the implementation of tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize client wealth.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is required.
3. A minimum of 2-3 tax seasons under your belt.
4. Extensive knowledge of tax regulations and laws.
5. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
6. Experience with Ultratax (Sureprep or TaxCaddy) is required.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax information in a clear and concise manner.
8. Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
9. High level of integrity and professionalism.
