We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant/Senior Tax Accountant to join our growing firm. This hybrid role will require you to utilize your skills and knowledge in tax accounting, tax returns, corporate tax, income tax, tax research, financial statements, tax law, tax compliance, and tax preparation. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead, learn, and grow within a dynamic and forward-thinking organization.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage the preparation and review of corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns.
2. Conduct tax research and planning to optimize tax positions and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
3. Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
4. Assist in the development and implementation of tax strategies to minimize the company's tax liabilities.
5. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations, and ensure the company's compliance with all tax requirements.
6. Use Microsoft Excel to create and maintain complex financial models and reports.
7. Collaborate with internal and external auditors during financial and tax audits.
8. Provide guidance and training to junior staff members on tax matters.
9. Work closely with management to provide tax advice and strategies for business decisions.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax accounting or a related role.
3. Proficiency in tax accounting, tax returns, corporate tax, income tax, tax research, financial statements, tax law, tax compliance, Microsoft Excel, and tax preparation.
4. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Proficiency in using tax software and other accounting software.
10. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
