We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our fast-paced finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and filing corporate tax returns, maintaining tax records, preparing quarterly and annual tax reports, and providing support during tax audits. This role will also involve researching tax laws and regulations, providing guidance on tax-related issues, and developing tax strategies to optimize our financial position. As a senior member of our team, you will also be expected to mentor junior staff and contribute to the development of our tax accounting processes and procedures.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare, review, and file all corporate tax returns in a timely and accurate manner.
2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date tax records and documentation.
3. Prepare detailed quarterly and annual tax reports.
4. Provide support during tax audits and liaise with external auditors and tax authorities as required.
5. Research and stay abreast of current tax laws and regulations.
6. Provide expert guidance and advice on tax-related issues to senior management.
7. Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the company's financial position.
8. Mentor and guide junior staff, contributing to their professional development.
9. Contribute to the development and improvement of tax accounting processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. A Master’s degree in Taxation or a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is highly desirable.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on corporate taxation.
3. In-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and procedures.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with other tax software.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
8. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
9. Excellent leadership and mentoring skills.
10. Strong ethics, with a commitment to company confidentiality.
