We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Tax Accountant/Manager to join our team in the finance industry. This permanent, full-time position will offer you the chance to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, providing comprehensive tax services and solutions.
Responsibilities:
As a Tax Accountant/Manager, your primary duties will include:
1. Reviewing and preparing complex federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
2. Conducting thorough tax research and planning to identify opportunities for tax minimization.
3. Assisting with tax audits and resolving tax notices or disputes.
4. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
5. Managing and mentoring junior tax staff, fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.
6. Collaborating with team members to improve processes, procedures, and overall efficiency.
7. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current tax practices and changes in tax law.
8. Providing excellent client service by managing client expectations and delivering high-quality results.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax role within the finance industry.
2. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA designation or Master’s degree in Taxation is highly preferred.
3. Proficient in tax software and technology platforms, Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel), and online tax research tools.
4. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex tax information to clients and team members.
6. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
7. Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of mentoring and developing staff.
8. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
