Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns and ensure compliance with payment, reporting, and other tax requirements.
2. Analyze financial data to identify potential tax savings and investment opportunities.
3. Conduct detailed tax research to stay updated with changes in tax legislation.
4. Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all necessary federal and state taxes.
5. Manage the preparation and review of tax accruals and ensure accurate financial reporting.
6. Liaise with internal and external auditors to manage audits and queries.
7. Provide support with various internal projects such as process improvements and system implementations.
8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and changes in tax law to ensure compliance and efficiency.
9. Assist in the development of tax strategies and policies that help achieve business goals.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred but NOT required
2. Minimum of 1 years of experience in tax accounting or a related field.
3. Strong knowledge of tax law, tax compliance, and all tax-related forms.
4. Experience in preparing corporate tax returns and financial reports.
5. Proficient in tax preparation and planning software.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
10. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees and external vendors.
