We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Tax Accountant to join our robust finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, or other tax requirements. The individual will also be tasked with developing tax strategies to optimize the financial situation of our clients. This role requires a thorough understanding of tax laws and financial regulations. This is a fantastic opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys problem-solving and working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and review individual, business, and corporate tax returns ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws.
2. Develop tax strategies and planning that help in financial decision-making processes.
3. Conduct thorough research on tax laws and regulations to stay updated with changes that can affect our clients.
4. Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax reports.
5. Provide support during tax audits and negotiations with tax authorities.
6. Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting and decision making.
7. Identify tax-saving opportunities and recommend strategies to improve clients' financial status.
8. Offer advice on the tax impact of company business decisions, including mergers and acquisitions.
9. Maintain complete and well-organized records of all tax documents.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Tax Accountant (CTA) designation is preferred.
3. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on individual returns, business returns, and corporate tax.
4. In-depth knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.
5. Proficient in tax preparation software and databases.
6. Strong analytical skills with the ability to read and interpret complex financial data.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. High attention to detail and accuracy.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
