ASSISTANT RESTAURANT MANAGER
A1A BURRITO WORKS TACO SHOP
SUMMARY
The Assistant Manager is responsible for daily operations of the Store including the selection, development, and performance of employees; specifically, the employee's customer service, food preparation, food consistency, and sanitation while working at the store. In addition, the Assistant Manager will also oversee the maintenance of the store and the daily cleaning operations. The Assistant Manager works together with the Store Manager and the Assistant Manager reports to the Owner of the Store directly with major concerns or to the owner's office staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION
Primary responsibilities include:
· Oversee and manage all areas of the Store and make final decisions on matters of importance to guest service with regard to food quality and customer service.
· Adhere to and make decisions specific to company standards and service levels to increase sales and minimize costs, including food, beverage, supplies, and labor costs.
· Enforce sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance cleaning policies including AM and PM cleaning details as well as Daily Cleaning Details.
· Follow up on all "mock" inspections and all State Inspections. Comply with federal/state/local laws and ordinances.
· Supervise: food preparation daily, company food specs, company food recipe guidance with staff, and quantity and quality control. Always minimize waste.
· Uphold Servsafe guidelines.
· Ensure positive guest service in all areas. Respond to complaints, taking any and all actions to turn dissatisfied guests into return guests with regards to company standards. Manage shifts, to include daily decision making specific to shift scheduling, shift supervision, product quality, and cleanliness.
· Investigate and resolve complaints concerning food quality and service.
· Oversee the training of new staff; develop new employees by providing feedback and training new employees on food and recipe standards.
· When necessary, termination of employees by following company standards.

· Ability to motivate employees to work as a team to ensure that food and service meet appropriate company standards.
