Table Games Shift Supervisor
STATUS: Full Time, Permanent
FLSA: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Manager of Table Games
SUPERVISES: All Table Games Personnel on assigned shift
WORKING HOURS: This is a salaried exempt position. The incumbent is expected to work the necessary hours to meet the needs of a 24 hour establishment.
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for supervising, monitoring and controlling the table games operation and its Team Members on assigned shift.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensures all Table Games team members understand and apply the Table Games department guest service standards
- Ensures that an appropriate balance between optimal guest service and asset protection is maintained
- Ensures that all Table Games Operations are compliant with current Internal Controls and approved Polices and Procedures
- Ensures that rated players are tracked accurately utilizing electronic and manual systems
- Communicates with other members of casino leadership team to maximize guest experience
- Completes Property "Casino Services Manager Report" ensuring that all pertinent table games shift activities and events are recorded for distribution
- Handles all table games-related guest issues, resolves disputes and renders impartial decisions
- Maintains high visual presence Table Games pit area
- Through continual observation and training, ensures that all games are dealt consistently and fairly, compliant with approved dealing procedures
- Provides comps to guests as needed within established approval limits and company comp philosophy
- Communicates all emergency or priority issues to the Manger of Table Games immediately by e-mail and/or phone
- Raises or lowers table limits to maximize occupancy, drop and productivity
- Maximizes drop potential by focusing on "hands-per-hour" standards
- Responsible for detecting and taking action against cheating, fraud and other disruptions as company policy dictates using all available resources to do so
- Acts as "third party approver" for slot jackpots as delineated by current Internal Controls
- Ensures communication of all property special events and promotions to shift staff
- Ensures all irregular incidents are thoroughly researched and documented in compliance with time frames and formats outlined in department procedures and or company policy
- Responsible for passing all employee information, dissatisfied decisions, recent exclusions, deviations from standard procedures and all daily business in Pit Log Book
- Must be familiar with Title 31 procedures
- Adheres to all policies regarding credit lines when and if a credit system is established at River Rock
- Establishes and reviews schedules with Manger to ensure proper floor coverage and efficient utilization of labor

- Acts as a role model and always present oneself as a credit to River Rock Casino and encourages others to do the same.
- Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, department and company policies and procedures.
- Attends all required meetings and training.
- Maintains confidentiality at all times.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, termination recommendation, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, reward and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.
- Minimum five (5) years supervisory experience;
- Minimum three (3) years supervisory experience in a table games department;
- Minimum four years (4) table games experience;
- Must know all table games played at the casino;
- Knowledgeable in promotions, marketing programs, and guest relations;
- Strong oral and written communication skills required;
- Must demonstrate reliability and flexibility in work schedule;
- Superior customer service skills required.
EDUCATION:
- High School diploma or (GED)
COMPUTER SKILLS:
1. Proficient in MS Office, e-mail, MS Word and MS Excel
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
1. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
2. Excellent oral and written communication skills are important to the successful conduct of this position.
3. Ability to write accurate, grammatically correct, polished reports and business correspondence.
4. Must be able to speak with the public in a professional manner.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
- Ability to apply regulatory and procedure doctrine, concepts and policy to practical situations.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Must be able to obtain and keep a gaming license from the Dry Creek Gaming Commission.
- Must possess a valid California Driver's License with a clean driving record.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to twenty five (25) pounds.
- Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
