As an Investigator within our Human Resources Department, you will be pivotal in upholding our commitment to a respectful and compliant work environment by conducting comprehensive investigations into alleged violations of UAB's equal employment and Title IX policies.
Key Functions:
- Conduct Investigations: Lead and manage thorough investigations into allegations of sexual misconduct, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation in accordance with UABrsquo;s policies and procedures.
- Document Findings: Accurately document investigation processes, evidence, and findings, ensuring all reports are clear, detailed, and comply with relevant regulations and institutional guidelines.
- Ensure Fairness: Maintain impartiality and fairness throughout the investigative process, providing a neutral perspective in resolving complaints and ensuring all parties are treated equitably.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with various departments, including Human Resources, legal teams, and campus support services, to coordinate responses and ensure comprehensive handling of cases.
- Support Compliance Efforts: Contribute to UABrsquo;s compliance with Title IX regulations by identifying trends, recommending policy improvements, and participating in training and prevention programs.
- Provide Recommendations: Develop and present clear, actionable recommendations based on investigative findings to support decision-making and promote a respectful and inclusive workplace.
- Maintain Confidentiality: Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and privacy in handling sensitive information and communications related to investigations.
- Engage in Training: Participate in ongoing professional development and training to stay current with best practices, legal requirements, and emerging issues in the field of investigations.
- Promote Policy Adherence: Support adherence to UABrsquo;s policies and procedures, and assist in educating the university community about their rights and responsibilities under these policies.

Salary Range: %2457,940.00 - %2473,000.00
Bachelor's degree in Higher Education Administration, Counseling Education, Employment Law or a related field required, and four (4) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
