About the Job
The University of Alabama at Birmingham seeks an Office Services Specialist IIIOffice manager for the Academic Success Center. Under minimal supervision, performs department specific office and clerical duties of a moderately complex nature. Work may consist of maintaining department databases, records and files, gathering and interpreting data to construct detailed reports, and assisting in monitoring department budgets. May direct the work of other clerical employees in a lead capacity. May perform patient scheduling and insurance authorizations/verification. May assist with human resources related issues and handle confidential information.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and provide support for VMASC Office
- Maintain and monitor inventory of recruitment materials.
- Maintains VMASC front office and assists in managing student assistants.
- Maintains VMASC webpage and develops consistent content for website.
- Coordinates workshop requests and manages scheduling of workshops, rooms and other VMASC events.
- Assists with Creating and managing integrated content strategy through appropriate social media channels.
- Help design and oversee a system of ongoing measurement of analytics and key indicators of engagement across all VMASC social media accounts and ensure accounts are aligned with best practices and university requirements.
- Create a welcoming environment for the office.
- Assists in the ordering of equipment and supplies.
- Manages VMASC Email accounts and student live chat.
- Provides exceptional customer services to both students and the public.
(Hourly Rate: %2415.00 - %2416.40)
High School diploma or GED and four (4) years of related experience required.
The ideal candidate will be able to multitask while seated at the departmentrsquo;s front desk, greets guests, while completing regular duties.
