Step into Your New Role Kleinfelder is looking for a detail-oriented Principal Professional - Gas Utility Pipeline to join our Energy team in Salt Lake City, Utah. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to lead and inspire a team are valued attributes for this position. The project work will be multi-disciplinary in nature, but experience in utility pipeline with knowledge of pipeline, geotechnical (including trenchless design) and civil engineering is preferred. This is a hybrid work schedule! Key responsibilities include:- Effectively manages all phases of project delivery including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, invoicing and closing.
- Develops and maintains client relationships.
- Works effectively with project support staff to monitor and control project to achieve financial target metrics for all projects.
- Effectively communicates technical information to practitioners, clients and laypersons.
- Mentors and coaches project team members and provide constructive feedback on team member performance.
- Executes project to meet or exceed client expectations while meeting industry standard of care.
- Follows and adheres to all federal and state regulations, client requirements and contracts, and company policies and procedures.
- Maintains and drives the Kleinfelder culture of safety.
- Required, Bachelor of Science Degree
- Preferred, Professional Engineer (PE)
- 5+ years of related experience
- Working understanding of pipeline standards and industry accepted practices.
- Working knowledge of Natural Gas and Hazardous Liquids systems including engineering design and construction.
- Computer skills required: MS Office (Word, Excel and Powerpoint), AutoCAD 3D
- Experience in the planning, design, engineering of natural gas pipelines, both distribution and transmission, is preferred.
