Job Title: System Support Technician

Description:

Looking for a systems’ support technician. The successful candidate will be part of a small team in the regional quality and engineering organization, supporting calibration systems used in the Americas’ calibration labs.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the high uptime of calibration controllers and the SW running on them for the service delivery teams.
• Continuously work on process and tool improvement.
• Work with calibration SW developers and IT teams to,
• isolate, troubleshoot, and resolve calibration system problems reported by the service centers or service teams operating on customer sites.
• validate updates and enhancements to calibration platforms, infrastructure, and IT policies and security patches prior to implementation.

Qualifications:

Combination of education and/or applicable work experience of 4+ years in related tasks, such as calibration using automated tools, troubleshooting systems, SW support or development.

Must-Have Skills

• Ability to troubleshoot systems consisting of electronic equipment, printers, computers, and software that control these systems.
• Attention to detail, ability to extract relevant technical info from manuals.
• Self-starter, manage workload and tickets independently.

Applicants might be asked to complete relevant work samples as part of the selection process.

Desired Skills

• Working knowledge of electronics measurement equipment.
• Familiarity w. calibration platforms.
• Ability to read and understand low level and/or scripting programming languages such as C, BASIC, Perl, Python.
• Some knowledge of Unix OS such as using shell/command prompt to navigate directories/folders and executing some commands.

Remote/Hybrid Work Possible: This position will be required to be on site initially, but hybrid may be available after a reasonable amount of time on the job. Please ONLY submit candidates local to the Roseville area. Candidates who are unable to work on-site in Roseville will not be sent to the manager to review.
