Job Summary:
The Systems/Network Engineer will be responsible in supporting the management, implementation and configuration of the manufacturing operation network technology systems at Johanna Foods.
Responsibilities
Hardware
- Experience troubleshooting Switches and Firewalls (ideally Cisco).
- Knowledge of HMIs & PLCs.
- The ability to patch, upgrade and troubleshoot HP and Dell Wintel servers.
- Troubleshoots and updates programmable logic controller (PLC) software as needed.
- Assist in generating a disaster recovery plan to ensure equipment uptime.
- Maintain documentation of the manufacturing infrastructure.
- Assist Johanna’s IT Department with Capital Project installations.
Configurations
- The ability to configure switches, firewalls and access points using both GUI and CLI.
- Be able to keep backups of configurations for quick deployment of replacement equipment and for disaster recovery.
Programming
- A working knowledge of PLC Systems such as Allen Bradley and scripting language Programming such as Python, JavaScript, PowerShell, Windows Command File, etc.
- Knowledge on configuring Rockwell Automation’s FactoryTalk to real-time data collection and monitoring and production equipment.
Security
- Ensure all manufacturing network devices (servers, switches, access points & firewalls) are secure from unwanted access.
- Work to develop and maintain infrastructure and architecture of networks, aiming at the segregation between IT and OT networks following IT/OT standards and security policies.
- Knowledge of security systems - card readers, cameras, etc. (a plus).
Qualifications
- 5 years relative work experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Technology, Management Information Systems, or computer related degree from an accredited College or University.
- Ability to problem solve.
- Good interpersonal skills.

- Independent, self-starting positive attitude.
- Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
- A strong technical background, hands on experience in bringing issues to rapid resolution.
- The ability to work extended hours as required to complete some special projects, troubleshoot and problem resolution.
