Hiring Systems Network Engineer (Travel)
GTN is in search of a skilled and dynamic Systems Engineer (Travel) to manage and enhance our clients’ corporate network infrastructure as they expand their operations. This role requires strong expertise in firewalls, switches, wireless systems, and cloud networking.
In addition, you must be available to travel 65% of the job located in the East Coast.

Responsibilities:
- Assess current network structures and identify ways to improve and optimize.
- Design and implement top-tier network solutions for expanding sites and core network operations.
- Oversee wireless access points (WAPs) in office and warehouse locations.
- Travel as needed to install and configure network equipment in various locations.
- Manage the procurement and delivery of network circuits.
- Participate in configuring networks for new sites.
- Establish principles, standards, and guidelines for cloud network security architecture.
- Leverage hands-on experience to build and maintain secure, high-availability distributed systems and cloud network architecture.
- Support both new and existing network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with teams across IT, including cybersecurity and end-user support, as well as senior leadership, to design and implement scalable solutions.
- Maintain documentation, including system configurations, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in fields like Computer Science, Information Technology, or Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing network solutions in complex organizations.
- 5+ years of experience in vendor management and evaluating network solutions across diverse platforms such as Fortinet, Aruba, Cisco Meraki, Ruckus, and Extreme Networks.
- 2+ years of experience with network flow log analysis (NetFlow and VPC flow logs).
- Hands-on experience with AWS services and tools like VPC, Direct Connect, IAM, and CloudWatch.
- Knowledge of SDWAN networks, including connectors for Azure and AWS.
- Solid understanding of security protocols such as SSL, IPSEC, and ACL.
- Direct experience managing networks for both office and warehouse settings
Preferred Skills but not Required:
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.
- Network certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA, Fortinet NSE, Aruba ACMP & ACSP).
- Preferred certifications in cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledgeable about Software Defined Networking (SDN) and modern voice and data network architectures.
