MUST:

Experienced Linux Administrator
5 plus years of experience with various Linux distributions (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat, Debian) and their specific nuances
Strong command-line skills for efficient system management and troubleshooting
Strong command-line skills for efficient system management and troubleshooting
Knowledge of partitioning, file systems (e.g., ext4), and disk management
Familiarity with package managers like apt, yum, and rpm for software installation and updates
Experience creating, modifying, and deleting user accounts.
Experience managing permissions and access control through file system permissions and sudo
Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash, for example) to automate routine tasks and create custom solutions
Experience configuring and troubleshooting network interfaces and firewall rules
Experience with implementing security best practices, such as applying patches and updates promptly.
Experience with configuring firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
Experience with virtualization technologies like KVM or VMware
Knowledge of containerization platforms such as Docker and Kubernetes
Experience with monitoring system performance using tools like top, vmstat, and sar
Experience tuning kernel parameters and optimizing system performance
Experience with managing authentication mechanisms (e.g., LDAP, Kerberos)
Experience with implementing role-based access control (RBAC)
Experience with implementing monitoring solutions like Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus
Experience automating routine tasks and system maintenance using scripting languages like Python or Ruby
Strong familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud can be beneficial in a modern enterprise environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and resolve complex issues
Awareness of industry-specific compliance requirements and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR)
Certifications like CompTIA Linux+, Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred, or additional 2 years of experience
DUTIES:
Create, modify, and delete user accounts

Review and analyze system logs for security and troubleshooting purposes
Implement and test backup and disaster recovery plans
