The Systems Analyst Lead formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex business problems including analysis of business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications. The Systems Analyst III is competent to work at the highest technical level of most phases of the systems lifecycle while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.
Responsibilities:The Journeys and Adventures that Await
- Subject Matter Expert for at least one functionality area or application which includes fully understanding the application and able to solve unique problems within that application. Responsible for identifying new applications/functionality areas to build expertise
- Identify ways to foster a team environment. Look for opportunities to increase the knowledge sharing amongst the rest of the IT department and also with our partners and customers
- Provide training and coaching to other members of the IT department (including Analysts I and II).
- Working with end-users to address and resolve technology issues which arise with daily operational use of supported hardware and software solutions
- Coordinates the implementation of any new and upgraded system software and hardware for radiology service line in accordance with project initiation and fulfillment processes.
- Assists team members with testing relevant imaging workflows as outlined in testing scripts.
- Backup the Director of Clinical Solutions when representing the team in critical meetings, decision making on infrastructure and providing guidance on best practices.
- Works closely with quality management personnel to identify and design future needs and efficient workflow processes, which include further integration into operations.
- Assures installation performance by coordination of related activities and performing system verification.
- Ensures that all imaging equipment communicates with necessary applications to include the installation of new equipment.
- Provides refresher education courses on various aspects radiology information systems. Communicates changes, policy’s revisions, new services and information to the staff in written form and meetings.
- Conducts software design, development and maintenance of utilities and applications to solve specific business problems
- Planning, development and support for application interfaces with Epic
- Supporting and mentoring less-technical and/or less-experienced system and business analysts during system design and maintenance
- Assisting in planning/analyzing of high-level software strategies & solutions through functional and technical expertise including planning/managing upgrades.
- Interact directly with other team members, physicians, and end-users, in order to understand business problems and help to identify solutions.
- Working with end-users to help them understand the defined workflows and system functionality.
- Working with end-users and other team members to identify when new workflows or functionality is required to meet their individual needs.
- Identifying, analyzing, escalating and resolving critical initiative risks and issues.
- Defining and communicating project standards and guidelines around the applications and workflows.
- Documenting system requirements, release notes, test plans, training documentation, etc. as required by our project delivery methodology.
- Coordinate with other administrative and support teams within DMG (i.e. compliance, patient accounts).
- Focus on continuous improvement within the IT department.
- Ensure that every business customer that approaches IT has a positive experience.

EDUCATION and/or CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:
- Bachelor’s Degree from four-year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Degree in IT or related field strongly preferred.
- Master’s degree a plus.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum two (3) years experience in Information Technology or Medical Imaging
- Minimum two (3) years experience with PACS or related technology
- Must have demonstrated knowledge of the overall workflow of either Cardiology or Medical Imaging
- Must possess the ability to effectively train others in computer skills related to the relevant systems and have strong analytical and problem solving skills
- The ability to effectively relate and communicate with internal and external customers required
- Extensive radiology workflow knowledge
- Familiarity with hospital business systems such as EMR, RIS, PACS
- Ability to troubleshoot clinical/technical issues related to radiology tools
- Experience in training clinical staff on technical and clinical processes/policies
- Strong ability to document, maintain & update user requirements and configuration documents
- Extensive I.T. administration background
- Familiarity with interoperability standards such as DICOM, HL7, XDR
- Assist with system wide QC/Data Integrity
- Assist Referring Physician/External Users
- Provide support to Site Admins
- Manage support requests with vendor
- Strong Project Management skillsHealthcare experience strongly preferred.
